About Me

I’m a freelance artist with a passion for creating custom artwork. I enjoy working with a variety of artistic media, including: pastel, oil, and acrylic painting; pottery; and stained glass. My current focus is on acrylic paintings and murals for children’s spaces. This focus was initially inspired by my two young children and their reactions to my drawings, paintings, and even sidewalk chalk creations. I love being a parent and find my little clients’ reactions particularly rewarding. For example, little Ellie (owl murals and paintings) tells people, “Jes painted these for me because she loves me.” Another example, little Ava (bluebirds and cherry blossoms) likes to look at her paintings every morning when she wakes. Teachers that work at the daycares which I have painted have shared several stories of the children’s enthusiasm over the various critters and elements I have painted to brighten their days.
My goal is to share my passion for painting and have that passion serve as a playful expression of joy to brighten a room. Adding unique elements to children’s space instills a sense of pride in the area and is one more reminder that the child is loved. The paintings that I make are customized to match the color and theme of my clients’ homes or businesses. I value collaboration with my clients to identify elements that will add happiness to children’s spaces. Color samples, themes, stuffed animals, and bedding provide great inspiration to create customized art for your precious child.

Yoga has made me a healthier, happier person. I love all of the wonderful benefits achieved through practicing yoga – physical, mental, and emotional – and I enjoy sharing those benefits with others. I received my 200-hour yoga teacher certification at the Southwest Institute of Healing Arts. In addition, I completed the Yoga for Kids and Families Teacher Training Course and now serve as an Arizona Ambassador for Rainbow Kids Yoga.  I am also a Yoga Nidra Amrit Method Certified Facilitator.  Yoga Nidra is a sleep-based guided meditation technique.  I look forward to meeting you and your family on the mats! Namaste.

I am the mother of two young daughters. I actively volunteer in their classrooms to assist with their educational experience, including reading and art (and yoga!). Helping people enjoy a healthier lifestyle, movement, play, and learning are some of the most rewarding experiences in life!
